The problem

Your current sales strategy is getting crickets.

You’ve been doing cold outreach via emails and phone calls, and even attended a trade show to grow your wholesale business. Even though your product quality is top tier and you have existing sales, finding the right retailers for your product is a herculean effort.

Right now your leads live in 5 disconnected places:

Google spreadsheets
A CRM you can barely use
Business cards in a drawer
Faire (with a −15% cut)
Your unread mail account
What you need is a place to consolidate all of those leads, quickly vet how good of a fit they are for your product, and get to each lead’s most active channel, even if it’s Facebook. You’re willing to meet these stores where they’re at, but you need some gas left in the tank after researching to give it your best pitch!

So how do you find leads, organize them, and draft a custom, compelling pitch that actually fits their customer base?

The answer isn’t hiring an intern or building a complex project management board.

The answer is Toy Matchmaker, the smarter way to pitch your toys and games. And the Get Into Retail Challenge gives you a 60-day headstart on becoming a power user of this tool before your competition does.

How it works

Here’s what to expect

Every Monday after that, another mini-challenge is announced, each one designed to get your toy into retail for Q4. Commit just 20 minutes per week to the work, and you’ll gradually prepare your products, build your lead list, start outreach, follow up on leads, and win new accounts for your toy.

What are the weekly mini-challenges?

Oh, so glad you asked! Mini-challenges drop every Monday, and doing them is how you ace the whole challenge. Week one it’s Most Complete Profile. Then Most Store + Product Matches Found, Most Pitches Sent, Most Proof Documents Uploaded — each one getting closer to actually landing your product on a shelf, right through to the Grand Finale.

You’ve got until the weekend to complete each mini-challenge and win 1 additional month of Toy Matchmaker free. These wins stack, so across 8 mini-challenges you could win up to 8 months free.

Winners are announced Sunday by email and on Instagram stories, and the next mini-challenge is announced that Monday.

By the end of 60 days, the best of this Get Into Retail Challenge will have a real list of matched stores, pitches drafted and sent, and new stores carrying their toy this year.

The 8 mini-challenges

A new theme every single week

Each mini-challenge builds on the last, walking you from a set-up profile all the way to real retail wins. The Grand Finale runs a full 12 days, so there’s time for your follow-ups to actually land.

The prizes

What is a challenge without prizes?

Every week we choose one winner from that week’s mini-challenge. Each winner gets two things.

Prize one

A virtual trophy

A shareable virtual trophy to show off your win online and put real eyeballs on your toy.

Prize two

One month free

One extra month of the tool, free. Wins stack, so the more weeks you take, the longer you ride free, up to 8 months.

And the real prize? By the finale, you can have dozens of new leads, pitches out the door, and new accounts carrying your toy for Q4.

About
Azhelle Wade, The Toy Coach

Hi, I’m Azhelle Wade, founder of Forge & Wade and The Toy Coach Inc.

I’ve spent years helping toy and game makers get their products made, and I built The Toy Matchmaker because getting into retail shouldn’t be limited to brands who already have reps or cost 15% of your revenue.

My company is footing the bill for this challenge because I know how hard it is to adopt a new process and try a new tool for the first time. But because I know this tool has the potential to grow your sales and profit, I’m doing everything I can to make it as easy as possible for you to try.

Registration closes August 17th, when the challenge begins.

In case you’re wondering

Top questions, answered

Yes, completely. The whole 60-day challenge is free, including access to the Growth Tier of The Toy Matchmaker the entire time. Weekly winners of the mini-challenges can earn an additional free month per mini-challenge win.

Nope, not live. You participate on your own schedule, about 20 minutes a week, and I post and email out the weekly mini-challenges and winners so you can follow along whenever works for you.

Every Monday a new mini-challenge kicks off (like Most Complete Profile or Most Pitches Sent). You have until the weekend to complete it, and the winner gets a trophy plus 1 more free month of the tool. If you win more than one mini-challenge, the free months stack, so you can win up to 8 months of Toy Matchmaker free!

Nope. Sharing your progress is optional, though we’d love to see it.

Not at all. The tool we’ll be using has an easy-to-follow tour, and clearly lays out your next steps, defines fields, and more.

About 20 minutes per week. Short on purpose, so a busy founder can keep it up for 60 days.

No. By joining this challenge you’re getting an exclusive 60-day free pass to Toy Matchmaker. You’re welcome. 🙂

If you want me one-on-one, you can book a Discovery Call for $99 and we’ll map out your retail game plan together.

This is your last chance to get into stores for Q4.
